"If i were a painter, I would have painted for them. If i were musician, I would have composed music. But I am a lecturer. So I lectured."
The Last Lecture is about Randy Pausch, a professor at Carnegie Mellon, delivering his last lecture as his pancreatic cancer was about to take his life.. He described about everything he wanted his kids to know, about him, about his legacy, after his pancreatic cancer had taken his life. Many important lessons he wants his kids to learn, and anything and everything he wants his kids to know about him. He emphasized that you need to have fun in everything you do, you need to live life to its fullest because you never know when it will be taken from you.
The last lecture he gave, wasn't about dying. It was about the importance of overcoming obstacles, of enabling the dreams of others, of seizing every moment(because "time is all you have..and you may find one day you have less than you think")
"We cannot change the cards we are dealt, just how we play the hand" - Randy Pausch
“The only purpose of education is to teach a student how to live his life-by developing his mind and equipping him to deal with reality. He has to be taught to think, to understand, to integrate, to prove. He has to be taught the essentials of the knowledge discovered in the past-and he ...has to be equipped to acquire further knowledge by his own effort.” ~Ayn Rand

“Bagaimana kita boleh maju kalau orang Islam sudah tidak ada tangan dan kaki? Bagaimana mereka mahu bersaing dengan bangsa-bangsa lain, kalau sifatnya sudah tidak cukup? Hukum hudud tidak sesuai dilaksanakan di negara ini yang mempunyai rakyat berbilang kaum dan agama.”
